Supermoon!

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

So the adventure went like this: Donald came home early from work so that we could make a short trip to set up for the moon.

As you may know, there is no short trip to be taken right now that is not smoke filled.

Yep, the smoke grew thicker as the sun set and no moon appeared. So poor choice on my part but just had to try. Major fail!

Once again, we headed home and I was able to take this pic from our neighborhood.

Was really disappointed not to have reference points or foreground in the pic.

This gigantic orbital piece of creation was created by our great and awesome God.

Felt good to get out with the camera.

Had to think through a plan dealing with a very smoky horizon.

Best plan was to just go and see what happened.

I really wanted a pic with water in the foreground so we tried shooting from the dam.

Took a few there and then headed home to wait on it to come up over the ridge. Will come up with another plan for tomorrow night.

Note to self: Do not fill up all seven bird feeders placed all the way down edge of woods in backyard as well as the birdbath.

This causes a flurry of feathered activity that causes a photographers head to spin trying to pick out the best pic to take. Lol!
